SR 40 million for new agricultural projects in Makkah - Saudi ...

The governor of the Holy city Dr. Osama bin Fadl Albar signed two new contracts for agricultural projects of which value amounts to more than (40,000,000.00) Saudi Riyals. The contract included the project of operation and maintenance of road and parks plantation in northern Makkah for (11,393,999.00) Saudi Riyals for three years. The second contract included the project of establishing irrigation networks of polyethylene pipes with concrete reservoirs at different Makkah areas of which value amounted to (29,846,145.00) for three years duration.

Lately, the Holy city secretariat signed four projects in agricultural fields for a total value of about (50,000,000.00) Saudi Riyals. They included operation and maintenance of plantations in eastern, western and southern Makkah roads in addition to the project of operation and maintenance of irrigation reservoirs and networks. The secretariat awarded all these projects to major specialized national companies. In the same context, engineer Hisham bin AbdulRahman Shili , General Manager of municipal parks and facilities pointed out that the secretariat achieved many agricultural works in Makkah roads and fields during the past month. They included plantation of more than 43,000  therophytes during RabiAwal 1433, clipping of more than (18,365) trees, cutting of (544,400) square meters of green surfaces and (157,000) linear meters of fences in addition to extension of (1310) linear meters of networks of plantation irrigation and maintenance of (397) of different water sources. Al-Shili concluded by pointing out that the Holy city secretariat has a number of specialized technical teams for agricultural maintenance including tree clipping and fence and green surfaces cutting, fertilizing and other works. It exerts considerable efforts these days which coincide with the spring season, aiming to provide a distinctive aesthetic image to this holy city.

1 million for new Projects In Makkah villages

The governor of the Holy city Dr. Osama bin Fadl Al-Bar signed four new contracts for different projects in Makkah villages and governorates within the development plan of the Holy City secretariat through which it aims to develop services in villages and governorates under its supervision.

These projects include asphalting of roads and flood drainage projects and some engineering projects. The contracts were signed with a number of specialized national companies which are experienced in this field. The total cost of the projects amounted to more than 28 million Saudi Riyals.

The governor of the Holy City Dr. Osama bin Fadl Al-bar said that the secretariat gives much care to villages in order to achieve the highest standard of services to citizens in those villages and provide different services to them where they are, pointing out that, lately, the secretariat achieved many important projects which covered all Makkah villages with regard to asphalting, paving and lighting in service of the population of these areas and in order to realize as many services as provided in cities.
